January 2007 and still no real movement on the Bargoed By Pass
So to keep us occupied whilst we wait for some action I have been routing around for some old photographs of the colliery site.
Most are my own but some of the very earlier ones have been given to me and I am not sure of the copy-write.
So apologies in advance to all for not mentioning the photographers by name but I don’t know them.

my father was Archelaus Thomas marshall and i am Archelaus Walter Marshall.
My father lived in Chaple St I thinj the number may have been No.9 and worked in the mine until he left during the depression of the late 1920,early 1930.s
I remember going to Bargoed and riding in the coal tub at the tip when i was a small child before the war,
I rmember meeting cousins Gerald and Mavis.
I hacve never had any contact with them for over 70 years.
Can anybody give me any info as I want to write my life story and pictures and info about Aberbargoed would be greatly appreciated.
I live in Perth Australia, awep1208@iinet.net.au
